☢ NEWS ☢

03.14.19 - Local Prog group People Eating Plastic stopped in today to track a demo for a new tune. We're looking forward to working on their new full-length this summer. Great job guys!

02.05.19 - Some of the RTB guys were at it again last summer. This time with frontman Scott Hackett under the name Killin' It. They killed it.

01.10.19 - Full 36-Channel Neve Flying Fader System being added to the Amek!!! This console is now officially a BEAST!!!

11.25.18 - After months of deliberation, Broken Dog has acquired what is arguably the BEST sounding and RAREST console EVER made! It's a 1979 AMEK M3000. And it is the very first one made, serial no. 1, out of only eight total. The console has been meticulously rebuilt and restored by Joel Gette @ TRD in Las Vegas. You can read about this entire restoration process and a great history of the console compiled by Joel here: https://recording.org/threads/the-amek-m3000.54489/ . The sound and control of Graham Langley's famous EQ section on this console is insane!!  So lucky to have found this piece of recording history and we can't wait to start making records with it. Huge props to Dave @ Sonic Circus you rock!

09.21.18- Some big news from the Broken Dog team! We have closed the deal on our new facility and construction is nearly complete. This new 2000 sq. ft. studio is located in Wakefield RI at an old cinema complex. It will boast a spacious live room with 21ft. ceilings along with elevated vocal booths and producer's lounge. Really unique and awesome. We plan to be spinning tape by early summer 2019. More updates coming soon!

05.02.18 - Just wanted to thank Jami over at Blackwood Amplification for letting us try his J.C.E. 50 for a recent session.  This baby is a fucking gem! All valve design, hand-wired by Jami himself. Very sweet mids with tons of bite and plenty of punch. This amp was so killer it changed the whole project and became the sonic centerpiece. We'll be purchasing one soon.

04.20.18 - Nearly done tracking a 4-song demo from local supergroup "10 Year Stripper." More big news to come!!

04.04.18 - Working with long-time clients Anderson Family Picnic today transferring an old ADAT session to 2" tape for re-mixing.These guys are a blast to work with. Great band too. Check em out.

01.08.18 - Mixing is complete on a 3-song King Diamond tribute by "Release The Butterflies" featuring vocals from Tony Lionetti of  Matthias Steele and drums from Steve Tefft of 12 Tattoos.  These sickies took on three of the best King Diamond tunes and absolutely killed it. Enjoy these masterpieces below, courtesy of Broken Dog.
